Description
This stunning belt is made from Sedgwick & Co. of England's Traditional English Bridle Leather in Green. This exceptional bridle leather has an unmistakably rich and refined character. At approximately 9-10 oz, it is substantial enough for a serious heritage belt while remaining supple and beautifully finished.
The first thing you notice is the surface. Sedgwick Bridle has a smooth, heavily waxed finish with a deep natural sheen that gives the leather an exceptionally premium look and feel. The grain is remarkably clean and consistent, with a subtle luster that becomes even richer as the leather is handled and worn.
Even the flesh side is beautifully finished, giving the leather a level of refinement you notice both in the hand and on the belt. The deep English Green is especially striking-dark and sophisticated in lower light, with the green becoming much more apparent as it catches the light. Paired with solid copper hardware, it creates a belt that feels distinctly British and traditional while still unmistakably Brass Blade.
The belt is paired with a solid copper Horseshoe buckle, made using a traditional sand-casting process and finished by hand. The copper is left unlacquered, allowing it to naturally tarnish and develop a rich patina with wear.
