Description

This awesome belt is handmade with premium full-grain vegetable-tanned skirting leather from Hermann Oak of St. Louis, MO (USA).  This leather is tanned using centuries-old tanning processes and the natural coloring comes from tree barks.  This tanning method produces leather that is dense, sturdy and holds its shape for decades.  This is a perfect leather for a heritage belt designed to last a lifetime.

This leather is vat-dyed three times in Japanese Natural Indigo Dye and finished with oils and waxes to preserve and seal in the color.  Note that some dye rub-off is expected (a process called 'crocking'), so avoid using this belt with light colored clothing if you don’t want the dye to rub off.

Since every belt is cut and hand-dyed individually, please note that the color of the actual belt you receive could vary from the color of the Indigo dye in the pictures.

This exceptional leather is paired with silver-plated copper hardware including a stylish and functional Fireman’s Quick Release buckle.  This belt makes a striking statement and pairs equally well with raw denim or hardwearing cotton.

This belt is completely handmade in Atlanta, GA (USA).

Additional Information

Fully Handmade: Each belt is crafted entirely by hand in Atlanta, GA (USA) - no machines, no shortcuts. Every cut, bevel, and burnish is done with care, leaving the edges in their natural state to reveal the true thickness and character of the leather.

Leather of Provenance: We only use full-grain leather from the world’s most respected tanneries, selected for enduring strength and rich character. We pair our belts with solid brass buckles and hardware - weighty, honest, and built to last for generations.

A Living Material: Natural scars, grain variation, and subtle shifts in tone are hallmarks of actual full-grain leather. With time and wear, the leather and brass develop a deep patina, becoming a reflection of your own journey.

Color & Character: Because of lighting and the nature of digital photography, the color you see on screen may differ slightly from the belt you receive. These subtle variations are part of what makes each piece unique.

Ownership & Longevity

Brass Blade belts are handmade leather belts crafted from full grain leather and solid brass buckles, built for those who value durability, craftsmanship, and a true custom fit. Unlike mass-produced and department store belts, each piece is made to order and cut specifically for you.

Built for decades of wear: This is a belt made to be worn daily and age beautifully over time, not replaced season after season.

Repairable and enduring by design: Solid materials and traditional construction mean your belt can be maintained and kept in service for years to come.

Made to become uniquely yours: With use, the leather softens, darkens, and develops character - shaped by the life you live in it.
