Description
This stunning belt is made from oak bark tanned bridle leather from the J&FJ Baker tannery in Devon, England. They are Britain's only remaining traditional oak bark tannery. This leather is exceptional - thick but supple, treated with wax and oils that have been buffed to a nice shine.
The slow 12-month tanning process is gentle on the fibers, resulting in a supple leather with superior tensile strength and durability that is ideal for heritage belts.
This belt is paired with a solid brass Full Circle buckle and a slim keeper, both from Japan.
This belt is completely handmade in Atlanta, GA (USA).

Leather:
- J&FJ Baker’s Oak Bark Bridle Butt, 14oz in British Racing Green
- Highest quality cowhide leather
- Thickness 5.4mm
- 1.5” wide (38mm)
- Oval punched holes with 5 hole positions
- Fully finished edges, including beveling and burnishing by hand (Some belt makers charge up to $50 for beveling and burnishing!)
Hardware:
- Full Circle solid brass buckle (Weight 57g/2oz)
- Sand cast
- Slim solid brass belt keeper (Weight 22g/0.7oz). Note that this is a center bar buckle so a keeper is optional. Let me know in the Order Notes if you would prefer to not have a belt keeper installed.
- Secured with brass Chicago screws for future adjustments or buckle changes
